Zenoss is an infrastructure monitoring provider that focuses on offering hybrid IT infrastructures unified, automated, end-to-end monitoring and service assurance solutions. Zenoss’ software offers integration with Cisco UCS-based converged infrastructure solutions like VCE’s Vblock and NetApp’s FlexPod. And the company has been delving about issues related to converged infrastructures on its blog. Migrating to converged infrastructures have necessitated changes, not only in the an IT infrastructure is mapped out but also in the way IT organizations approach staffing.

Recently I completed a three-part series of posts of the subject of staffing for converged infrastructures. Part 1: Taking Charge of the Changes observed how a senior director at a SaaS firm went about reorienting his staff. Part 2: Don’t Forget the Human Element looked at the importance of aligning people with your business goals. And Part 3: The Hiring Manager’s Perspective delineated some of the challenges IT departments face in finding the best people for their organization.
